Our client, a leading provider of sensor, communication, and software solutions, is looking for a skilled Embedded Firmware Engineer to join their team in Einsiedeln. Specializing in IoT, connectivity, and cloud technologies, our client develops cutting-edge solutions for a diverse range of industries. Role Overview:

As an Embedded Firmware Engineer, you will play a key role in developing firmware solutions for embedded systems, ensuring seamless connectivity and integration within IoT applications. You will collaborate closely with hardware and PCB development teams while working with modern wireless and wired communication technologies.


(C, 32-bit microcontrollers, FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ESP-IDF, Bluetooth LE, IoT, Linux build frameworks, release management, Agile development)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop firmware concepts and architectures for embedded systems, selecting optimal MCUs or SOMs.
  • Implement embedded firmware in C for 32-bit microcontrollers.
  • Ensure seamless product networking using Bluetooth LE and other mesh topologies.
  • Validate and test developed products, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Manage smooth firmware releases and updates.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, PCB, and software development teams.
  • Provide technical support for sales and project acquisition.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.


Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Several years of experience in embedded firmware development using C.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded frameworks (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ESP-IDF).
  • Experience with wireless technologies (preferably Bluetooth LE and mesh networks).
  • Basic hardware knowledge is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Linux build frameworks is a plus.
  • Passion for IoT, connectivity, and microcontroller platforms.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Location: Zug, Switzerland / Remote


Salary: CHF 110,000 – CHF 140,000 + Bonus + Benefits
