ERP Cut-Over Project Manager - SAP to IFS
Job Description:
Our client, a large-scale organisation undergoing a significant ERP transformation, requires an experienced ERP Cutover Manager to lead the cutover planning and execution for their cloud-based ERP implementation. This is a 6-month daily rate contract. Ideally someone who can work 3 days on site Tues/ Wed/ Thurs and from home Monday and Friday. The client is near Shannon airport so their are plenty of cheap flights from the UK.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive cutover strategy to support the implementation of a cloud-based ERP platform.
- Design and maintain detailed technical cutover schedules encompassing pre-go-live, go-live, and post-go-live activities.
- Coordinate closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical resources to align cutover activities with broader change management initiatives.
- Act as the central liaison to ensure that all moving parts of the cutover are clearly defined, communicated, and monitored.
- Provide timely updates and expert advice on cutover readiness and escalate issues or risks to ensure successful execution.
- Align cutover planning with project goals, timelines, and organisational policies.
- Support issue resolution during cutover phases to minimise disruption to operations.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in ERP implementations, with a strong focus on cutover planning and execution.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex cutover activities in large organisations.
- Proven capability to lead cross-functional teams in high-pressure implementation environments.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience with cloud-based ERP platforms such as IFS Cloud or similar.
- Familiarity with enterprise-wide transformation projects and change management practices.
- Exposure to multi-phase cutover planning and hybrid deployment models.
Educational Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field is typically required.
- Relevant project management certifications (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) are an advantage.
