Role Description
Many successful attacks on IT systems are based on exploiting vulnerabilities in software. Systematically finding and closing these gaps before any damage can be done is therefore one of the major IT security challenges for the future. We are researching automated methods for the detection and verification of vulnerabilities. Become part of an ambitious team that works on a diverse range of projects, both in research and on behalf of customers, covering a wide range of topics. With us, you can conduct and publish scientific research as well as work on practical real-world issues. With us, research results do not disappear in a drawer but are applied at well-known companies.
Qualifications
- A university degree in computer science, IT security, or a related discipline
- Knowledge of IT security / software security
- Sound programming skills in Java and/or C/C++, skills in software development and debugging
- Experience in static and dynamic program analysis (lectures on compiler construction, code analysis, knowledge of assembler, etc.) as well as software engineering are an advantage, but can also be acquired after joining
- Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. German language skills are helpful for some projects, but not a must.

The fine print
The weekly working time is 39 hours.
