About the Position


We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Web Design Manager to lead the design and development of our digital presence, ensuring that our website not only meets the highest standards of user experience and design but also aligns with the overall mission and objectives of the organization. In collaboration with department managers, you will be responsible for improving the visual appeal and functionality of the website, adjusting it to meet the needs and requirements of different teams within the company. As the Web Design Manager, you will oversee a team of 10 web designers and 2 IT officers, providing leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction. You will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), ensuring that your designs align with the broader technological goals of the organization. You will meet with your team every two weeks online to discuss project progress, provide feedback, and foster collaboration.

We are looking for an individual who is not only creative and detail-oriented but also experienced in leading a team, ensuring timely delivery, and making critical design decisions that will enhance the overall user experience. The Web Design Manager will play a key role in improving our online presence and delivering designs that resonate with our audience, creating a lasting impact. Key Responsibilities


Lead Web Design and Development

  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the company’s WIX-based website, ensuring that it is visually appealing, user-friendly, and aligned with the organisation's objectives.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor a team of 10 web designers and 2 IT officers, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering a collaborative work environment to meet design goals with sharp deadlines.

Stakeholder Coordination and Project Management

  • Collaborate with department managers to gather requirements, prioritize design updates, and ensure timely project delivery. Utilize tools like Figma and Trello to manage and track progress.


Skills and Competencies Required:


Web Design Expertise

  • Proficiency in WIX and related design tools, with a strong understanding of creating visually striking and user-friendly websites. Experience with coding and technical troubleshooting is a plus.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Strong management experience, with the ability to lead a diverse team, provide constructive feedback, and drive projects to completion on time.

Creativity and Professionalism

  • A keen eye for design, with the ability to create professional, artistic, and functional web pages that align with brand values and enhance the user experience.


Qualifications


  • A master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive technology leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or executive role overseeing technological infrastructure, IT teams, web design teams and digital strategy. Experience in the non-profit sector, particularly with international or mission-driven organisations, is highly desirable but not required.  
  • Proven experience in leading and managing cross-functional technology teams, including IT officers, web designers, and digital strategists. Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performance teams that drive innovation and digital transformation.  
  • Strong advisory experience as a trusted technology consultant and primary point of contact on all tech-related matters for executive boards and senior leadership. Ability to provide clear, actionable insights and guidance on complex technological challenges and strategies.  
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies, enterprise-level IT systems, and emerging tech trends. Familiarity with system integration, user experience design, and digital communications platforms is a strong asset.  
  • Fluency in English (CEFR C1) is required.
  • Comfortable with flexible working arrangements, including part-time commitment, contributing 8–10 hours (20%) per week, with the ability to work remotely and choose working hours. 
  • A motivational and empathetic leadership style, with a commitment to fostering inclusivity, integrity, and excellence. Strong interpersonal skills to inspire trust and credibility within the organization.
