Data Scientist (Smart Agriculture)
Kubota Technology Innovation Europe department
The KTI-EU organization is a newly established department focusing on digital solutions and systems development from both a fundamental and applied research perspective. It bridges the gap between the market research, collaborations and technology mapping (driven by our Innovation Center Europe) and the commercial development done by our R&D centers, like Kubota Research and Development Europe and Kverneland Group. The KTI department centers itself on the European market but in strong collaboration with the global organization and other regional offices e.g., KTI-SV (Silicon Valley, USA) to align and coordinate global initiatives.
In this context and in order to strengthen our team, we are looking to recruit a Data Scientist. This activity is related to analyzing agricultural data, developing predictive models and providing actionable insights to drive informed decision-making in the field of smart agriculture. Not only just analyzing the data, but also be responsible for planning and executing field experiments, including how to collect the data (when, where, how often, with which sensor, what). Therefore, in addition to agricultural knowledge, sensors knowledge like RGB, multi/hyper-spectral, thermal, etc is also required. The contribution is broad, including agricultural crop monitoring, machine monitoring, autonomous driving, monitoring of quality of agricultural work while working with tractors and agricultural implements. This is a critical role for the success of our technology advancements pushing the boundaries of productivity and sustainability.
,
Responsibilities
Define and design experiments from data collection to evaluation and support actual data collection in fields
